In an abandoned factory destined to be demolished, Pavel’s routine, the guardian, is disturbed by the arrival of a young engineer who discovers an unusual electric activity, a running turbine. Pavel will be faced with the imminent disappearance of the factory and with the end of his universe…

«It seems to me that we try to define the present only once we’re afraid of losing it. Pavel, the guardian, lives in a repressed attachment to his factory, until the day Gabriel, the young engineer, comes to put the place out of order. Through the portrayal of a character who refuses the evolution of the world, I wanted to tell an intimate reflexion on what gives meaning to our existences. I chose the abandoned factory of Chavalon as a scenery, in the Swiss south Valais. The place has an authentic and almost unrealistic nature that evokes the past whereas it incarnated a utopian vision of the future.»

Julietta Korbel was born in 1996 in Frankfurt, Germany. From Swiss and Slovakian origin she received her degree in 2019 at École Cantonale d'Art de Lausanne, cinema department.
