A film by Colia Vranici
18 year old Lucia is on edge. Her grandfather is seriously ill and she refuses to accept the fact that he’s dying. In an unsuccessful attempt to take her mind off it, she seeks comfort in the arms of Rabah with whom she has a tumultuous fling.
With Colia Vranici, Rabah Nait Oufella and Jacques Nolot
Born in 1988 in Dunkirk, a post-industrial town in the north of France, Colia Vranici first discovered cinema at Studio 43, the only art-house cinema in the town. She went to Paris to do film studies and then worked as a casting director and a directing and producing assistant for directors such as Rabah Ameur-Zaimeche, Albert Serra and Jacques Doillon. In 2012, she made her first short film entitled “Les Enfants de Jean Bart”, and between 2012 and 2014 she completed a Master’s degree in film studies at HEAD (Geneva) and ECAL (Lausanne) where she directed “Honey is sweeter than Blood”.
