Born in 1986 in Cahors (France), Louise Carrin obtained a diploma in photography at the Fine Arts school in Lyon followed by a Masters in Cinema Studies at the University of Art and Design in Lausanne. In 2010, Tape Amanda! Tape was shot as her diploma assignment and selected at the Winterthur Festival. "Black Butterflies" was selected at Visions du Réel 2013 and released in Swiss theaters in june 2013.
As of spring 2013, she shoots "Venusia" during five months in Geneva, which won the 2016 Grand Prize of the Oberhausen International Short Film Festival.
