A film by Julietta Korbel

Hanna is searching for a painting dedicated to her by her late grandfather, Pavel, who was a painter. But an 11-year-old boy appears unexpectedly at her grandfather's studio...

- My grandfather used to tell me the story of a mystical forest. He painted a picture of it. He told me that he had finally succeeded in painting the sun and that our memories were there. That was our secret.

Julietta Korbel was born in 1996 in Frankfurt, Germany. From Swiss and Slovakian origin she received her degree in 2019 at École Cantonale d'Art de Lausanne, cinema department.

«For me, this film is an exploration of the sudden void the characters experience after Pavel's death, and an attempt to transform this absence into a vital presence on the screen.»
